Cineaste uses a minimal number of cookies — the fewest necessary to keep the platform working. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They allow websites to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — so you do not have to re-authenticate every time you navigate to a new page.
We use only strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the platform to function and cannot be switched off without breaking core features like staying logged in.

Records your cookie preference so we do not show the banner on every visit. Duration: 1 year. Provider: First-party.
We do not use any of the following:
No advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind.
No third-party analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
No social media tracking pixels (e.g. Meta Pixel, Twitter Pixel).
No cross-site tracking or browser fingerprinting.
Separately from cookies, we ask for your consent to collect anonymous analytics data (country, continent, timezone) that contributes to aggregate insights shared with film industry partners. This is controlled via the cookie consent banner and can be changed at any time in Settings. This data is never linked to your identity.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking or deleting the authentication cookies above will log you out of Cineaste.
